Somi Ali and Salman Khan had an affair for eight years. Both of them started dating in 1991 and broke up in 1998.
After breaking up with Salman Khan, Somi Ali went to Florida and started running an NGO there.
On August 19, 2022, Somi shared a poster of Salman Khan’s film Maine Pyar Kiya on her IG handle and made serious allegations against the actor and requested everyone to stop worshiping him. Somi wrote in the caption of the post. Was, “A woman beater and not just me but many people, please stop worshiping him. He is a sadistic sicko. You have no idea.”
Later Somi Ali again accused Salman Khan. Somi Ali had written in her post, “Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood! You will be exposed. The women you abused will one day come forward and share their truth.”
Somi Ali had also claimed that when Salman came to know about her affairs, he became furious and beat her badly. Somi had also claimed that Salman Khan had burnt her with a cigarette.
In an interview with Zoom, Somi Ali talked about her relationship with Salman Khan and revealed that he cheated on her. Somi had said, “It’s been 20 years since I broke up with him. He cheated on me and I broke up with him and went away.”
Reportedly, Salman Khan and Somi Ali also shot for a film which got shelved. Their romantic relationship lasted for almost a decade. In an interview given to Free Press Journal, Somi had told how her relationship with Salman Khan started.. She said, “We were going to Nepal. I was sitting next to him. I just deleted her photo showing it to her. I told her, ‘I have come all this way to marry you!’ He said, ‘I have a girlfriend.’ I said it doesn’t matter. I was foolish at that time. Our relationship started a year later when I turned 17. The first thing he said to me was, ‘I love you.’
Salman Khan was in a relationship with Somi Ali from 1991 to 1999 and then the couple broke up and Salman fell in love with Aishwarya Rai. While talking to Zoom, Somi Ali revealed that Aishwarya and Salman had fallen in love during the shooting of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and then Salman had even stopped picking up her phone.
Somi had told, “The shooting was going on when I called Salman but he did not pick up the phone. Then I called Sanjay Leela Bhansali and he said he cannot talk to you right now because he is in a shot. If he is in the shot, why are you not directing it?’ Hearing this logic of mine, Bhansali did not understand what to say.”
In the same interview, Somi Ali revealed that Aishwarya Rai had also started coming to the gym in Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment. Here Somi lived on the ground floor with the actor. Somi had further said that I was getting information from the inside servants and everyone favored me. However, now I knew in my heart that their relationship was something that was about to blossom. I knew it was time for me to leave.”
Somi Ali had made many allegations against Salman Khan including sending threatening mails. However, all this is now being called a publicity stunt.
